Craftshops

​The craftshops are located in three major cities which are Bulawayo, Mutare and Victoria Falls; offer a large variety of local and traditional wares to the public and tourist markets. The crafts are mainly made by men, women, boys and girls with disabilities groups and their families

Bulawayo Craftshop

 The Bulawayo craft shop was established in 1969 for the purpose of generating income for the Association’s rehabilitation services through selling of quality and affordable craft products. The entity situated at the corner of Leopold Takawira & Robert Mugabe Way has over the years economically empowered crafts suppliers men, women, boys and girls with disabilities as well as the able bodied through employment creation, provision of funds to JJA service centres and programmes and marketing of the Association’s work locally regionally and internationally. The Bulawayo craft shop successfully established a flourishing commercial business culture in full view of the Association’s strategic and social mandate of ensuring economic empowerment of men, women, boys and girls with disabilities through viable and sustainable self help initiatives. The entity’s turnaround strategies and systems re-vitalized and re-equipped the craft shop to operate at full capacity economically empowering men, women, boys and girls with disabilities and their communities with disabilities as well as enhancing economic recovery.
         
Mutare Craftshop

Mutare craft shop targets the local, regional and international art and craft enthusiasts and tourists who appreciate art and craft at heart. The entity generates income for Jairos Jiri Association services centres throughout the country, contributes to community development through employment creation, economic empowerment, networking and  capacity building of men, women, boys and girls with disabilities, their families and communities in the arts and craft business.

Victoria Falls Craftshop

The Jairos Jiri Victoria Falls Craft shop is located at 406 Adam Standard Drive, Curio village in Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls craft shop sell crafts from the network of men, women, boys and girls with disabilities, It is a great place to go for baskets, artefacts, weaving products, animal portraits, pottery and necklaces. The Victoria Falls Craftshop develops a link with the communities and get their crafts in an organised manner. This has helped them to get quality crafts at competitive prices from the community groups nationwide. Craft suppliers in surrounding local communities including men, women, boy and girls with disabilities continued to benefit through supplying their products to Victoria Falls craft shop for sale locally and abroad.
