Mukombwe Primary School
The school is located in Mutoko District. It was donated by the Council of Mutoko to Jairos Jiri Association in 2008. The Mutoko Branch became more instrumental with the work of Jairos Jiri Association from 2000. The impact and success stories of JJA’ work in Mutoko District excited the local authorities Mutoko Rural District Council who appreciated the remarkable work of empowering men, women, boys and girls with disabilities in Mutoko Community. The District Council proudly donated Mukombwe Primary School to Jairos Jiri Association. The local authorities realized that this was an opportunity for enhancement of lives of boys and girls with disabilities presented to the community. The school is practicing reverse integration; children with disabilities are learning and playing together with those without disabilities. Mukombwe Primary School recently constructed new toilets which are disability friendly. The community has also pledged to work hard transform Mukombwe to a model disability friendly school in the District.
